When searching for an excellent braising pan w/lid, I never idea I'd in finding it underneath casseroles. I needed something that might go from rangetop to oven, now not too heavy, no lengthy handle, and now not too giant.
The product web page failed to provide dimensions however it appeared as though it "was the one" and with the convenience of Amazon returns I decided to take a chance.
Think of it as a saute pan with out the lengthy deal with. It's 16" deal with to handle, 12" diameter, and 3" excessive. Yes, the handles get hot, but I'm used to pot-holders. It used to be excellent for a braised brisket receipe I needed to try. I got so excited with it that I made up our thoughtss to make chili on the highest of the stove. I used a sort of "simmer" pads underneath it (my range is fuel & simmering is hard to control) and again it worked goodly.
It's no more difficult to clean than some different quality stainless pan (I don't have any dishwasher). Soap, water, Barkeeper's Friend and a bit care. Good pans are definitely price the effort.
I have a feeling I'm going to make use of it quite a bit. P.S. If anyone knows the scale on the three quart version, I would like to know.

This pan used to be good for our sweet potato casserole this previous Christmas. I set the pan on the desk alongside the china serving bowls, and it looked lovely and stored the meals hotter than anything else I might have used. The handles let me to get the sizzling pan out of the oven much more straightforward than if I had been to use a ceramic dish with out handles. I'm positive I'll use this pan once I wish to pop a dish underneath the broiler for a quick browning. It's a realistic, gorgeous, well-made cooking and serving piece.
